The Florida-based international air cargo service, AMERIJET which provides freight forwarding facilities to all CARICOM member states is currently celebrating the twentieth anniversary of its scheduled all-cargo service to Trinidad and Tobago.
The airline which operates a bonded warehouse out of Piarco initiated its service to Port of Spain in 1991 operating two flights per week with a capacity to move 20,000 kg of freight per flight.
AMERIJET Regional Operations Manager Ricardo Henrique said in an anniversary statement that the airline was “the only carrier providing a scheduled air cargo service linking the South American countries of Guyana and Suriname with their CARICOM neighbours.”
