Scotiabank in ‘Back to School’ campaign

Scotiabank customers and children in two schools areas where the bank operates are set to benefit from the company’s ‘Back to School’ campaign which started on August 1.

In a press release the bank said it will make donations through its Bright Future Programme to support sports teams in a city school and one from New Amsterdam, Parika or Bartica. Scotiabank branches will each nominate a school and there will be a random draw to select the two schools.

Scotiabank said for every customer in Guyana who registers their Mastercard credit card for this promotion through its website or mobile application, the bank will donate the local dollar equivalent to US$1.00 to two schools in the community in support of the school’s sports programme.

“Getting active and being a part of a team has many benefits for children, including improved wellness and self-esteem,” said, Amanda St Aubyn, Scotiabank Country Manager. She said through the Bright Future Programme, the bank is committed to supporting social initiatives that promote healthier lifestyles with the youth in communities where it operates.

In addition to helping to make a difference, Scotiabank customers can also win big through the campaign as when they register and use their Mastercard credit card to make purchases during the back-to-school season, they will be entered to win a US$1000.00 (local dollar equivalent) grand prize. Customers are advised to visit the bank’s website www.guyana.scotiabank.com for more information.

The promotion ends September 30.
