Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton on Friday remanded to prison a man who allegedly broke into the house of another and stole $329,000 worth of items.
Wilton De Jesus was not required to plead to the indictable charge which states that on August 11 at Georgetown he broke and entered the dwelling house of Troy Jupiter and stole therein a quantity of jewellery, a digital camera, one flash drive and a bird cage valued $329,000; property of the said Jupiter.
No facts of what transpired on the day in question were presented to the court.
The prosecution made a successful application for the unrepresented De Jesus to be remanded to prison.
His matter was transferred to Court One for October 24.
