The Hikers Hockey Club’s annual Junior Hockey Summer programme will commence today at the St. Stanislaus College Forum.
The programme caters for children between the ages of 6 to 16-years-old and will be conducted daily at the school’s forum from 9am to 1pm.
England-based, national women’s team captain Chantelle Fernandes will coordinate the two week programme.
She will be assisted by Cuba-based former national player Latoya Fordyce and Hikers junior coaches Jamarj Assanah, Travon Younge, Renee James and Macaela Harding.
This is the fourth year that the club will be staging a summer holiday junior camp for beginners and the programme has already shown some results with several of the graduates of previous camps already securing places on the national junior and senior squads.
The classes are free of charge and all interested persons are invited to attend.
