A man accused of trafficking in five grammes of cocaine was on Tuesday remanded to prison by Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton.
The allegation against Walter Subryan is that on August 14 at Georgetown, he had in his possession five grammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The accused denied the charge when it was read to him by the magistrate at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
No facts of what transpired on the day in question were presented to the court.
The unrepresented Subryan who failed to present special circumstances to the court for his pre-trial liberty to be considered was informed that he would be remanded to prison.
His matter was transferred to Court One for October 25.
