Transparency Institute of Guyana Inc. (TIGI) is scheduled to hold its official launch on September 3 at the Demerara Mutual Conference Room, when it will also host a seminar on Freedom of Information and the Access to Information Bill.
There will be presentations at the seminar by the government, TIGI, and the Guyana Bar Association, TIGI said in a press release.
It stated also that a representative of Transparency International has been invited to attend to address the gathering on the UN Convention on Corruption.
The seminar will be the first in a series of seminars designed to address issues of transparency and accountability in the public and private sectors.
