A 23-year-old Sophia resident was yesterday placed on $25,000 bail on a charge of simple larceny.
The allegation is that on August 26 at Main Street, Georgetown, Kelvon Niles stole two GUESS T-shirts and one GUESS wallet, valued $23,000, property of Salem Azeez.
The man who resides at Lot 132 Cummings Park, ‘E’ Field Sophia, pleaded not guilty to the charge which was read to him at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The prosecution had no objection to the man being granted bail but requested that it be at a substantial sum to ensure he returns to court. The matter would be called again on November 15 at Court One.
