Play in the Milo Under-23 Football Tournament, organised by Fruta Conquerors, continues this evening with a triple header at the Tucville Playfield.
In the curtain raiser from 16:00 hours, University of Guyana play Charlestown United, Riddim Squad will take on Sunburst Camptown from 18:00 hours and the feature match will be played between Fruta Conquerors and Beacons, starting at 20:00 hours.
Meanwhile, on Thursday Santos and the Guyana Police Force recorded wins in contrasting fashion. GPF got a walkover from the University of Guyana while Santos got their second successive victory of the tournament over Charlestown United by a 2-1 margin. Santos had also recorded a 5-nil drubbing over Beacon United earlier in the week.
In the third match on Thursday Georgetown Football Club (GFC) and Flamingo Football Club (FFC) played to a goalless stalemate.
In the Santos/Charlestown clash Jermain Bamfield found the back of the net in the 36th minute while Stephan Peters netted in the 54th minute. Rickford Jones was the scorer for Charlestown United in the 58th minute.
