Two men who were charged for robbery under arms and possession of firearm and ammunition without licence were remanded to prison after they appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine–Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The allegation is that on September 4 at Cross Street, Alexander Village, Georgetown, Tony Ogle and John Blake, being armed with a gun, robbed Jennela Burke of $51,000 in cash, two gold chains valued $68,000, one Nokia cell phone valued $20,000 and two gold finger rings valued $28,000, amounting to a total of $167,000, property of the said Burke.
