There are people who travel to Suriname especially for sex. Suriname is in the “danger zone”, says Henry Ori. He admits that sex tourism cannot be stopped, but according to him, the effects will be far-reaching without measures. It is a “new product” in Suriname hat seems to be very popular. Ori got his degree at the Faculty for Psychology and Education Sciences of the Free University Brussels on September 5 with his thesis ‘Can Tourism Become a Full Industry in Suriname?’. He held a presentation on the same subject at the Sarnami House in The Hague, Netherlands, yesterday. According to him, research should be done into how this type of tourism was introduced in Suriname. as an example, Ori mentions Brazilian women who are active in the sex business.
