A mother of seven was this morning brutally chopped by her husband at Rasta Country, Laluni Creek, Soesdyke-Linden Highway.
Dead is Tessa Romascindo, 35.
Her husband Sewnarine Deonarine, 45, had reportedly told relatives that he had consumed a poisonous substance. He is yet to be found.
According to reports, the couple had been residing in the area for over 20 years. This morning they had a fight and Romascindo’s husband began chopping her in the yard just outside the door. From all appearances, after hacking away at her, he dragged her body into nearby bushes and covered it with grass. He then went into the house and collected a change of clothing and fled.
According to relatives, the two had a misunderstanding recently and the woman moved out on Saturday last. She returned home last night.
