Berbice will battle Stores and Essequibo will take on Brewery in the two semi-finals of the Banks DIH Ltd. Inter-Department 12-over aside Tapeball cricket competition today at the Thirst Park ground.
The matches will form part of a day of activities at the Sports Club where the King and Queen Dominoes and well as the Inter-Department Dominoes Playoffs will take place.
Twelve male players are lined up to compete in the King dominoes competition – they are Clive Murray and Sherlock Simon of the Linden Branch, Shawn Loo and Lennox McDonald of Berbice, Lakeraj Alli and C. Raghubeer of Essequibo, Leroy Dickson of Warehouse, Jemuel King and Narendranauth Puran of Stores, David Hunte and Linden Boston of Sales and Anand Charran of Head Office.
Linden Branch manager, Shondell Easton, the defending Ladies champion will return to defend her title in the Queen Dominoes competition.
The other challengers are Lindener Shauna Jones, Meena Persaud and Renisha Gillford of Berbice, Sherry Martins of Krystal Dry Cleaners, Roseann Marshall, Donna Simon and Shade Reis of Bakery, Patricia Green of Trisco, Sharon Douglas and Kelly Charles of Electrical, Simone Armstrong of Rum Factory, Carla Bentham of Plumbing/Welding and Magna Duncan of Head Office.
Nine teams will contest the dominoes competition including last year’s winners Vehicle Workshop.
The other teams are Sales Department, Essequibo, Berbice, Linden, Distribution Warehouse, Stores ‘A’, Central Workshop and Carpentry Shop.
