Dear Editor,
I write about my area, West Coast Berbice, but I know this happens all over Guyana.
A while ago a vehicle hit a dog, and left it middle of the road opposite a Chinese restaurant, and vehicles continued mashing this dog. Someone should have moved the dog and put it in the corner or the owner of the restaurant should have got someone to move it out, since it affected people who eat and drink there.
Another day I was passing and saw a dog get knocked down in front of a lawyer‘s home in West Coast Berbice. When I passed back two days later it was still there. It does not matter whose dog it was, some good person should have paid someone to dispose of the carcass. Even sanitation outside a lawyer’s house is a matter of public health.
Yours faithfully,
Rudolph Singh
