After more than six weeks of competition, the curtains will come down this evening on the Milo Under-23 tournament with the third place and final matches from 18:00 and 20:00 hours respectively at the Tucville Playfield.
The 16-team tournament is now down to Santos and hosts Fruta Conquerors from 20:00 hours in the feature game for the $100,000 first prize. Second, third and fourth place finishers will receive $50,000, $30,000 and $20,000 respectively.
Police and Flamingo will clash in the opening third place match from 18:00 hours.
There are also other prizes for the Best Goalkeeper, Highest Goal Scorer, Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Most Disciplined team also up for grabs.
Also, each team participating in the tournament will receive five official Milo footballs.
Meanwhile, to complete the list for the third place and final matches, Santos on Friday evening routed Police 5-0 in the first semi- final match.
Colin Harris recorded a hat-trick, netting in the 15th, 33rd and 51st minute while Lerone Charles found the back of the goal in the 21st and Trevon Lewis in the 69th minute.
In the second game Fruta Conquerors also clinically disposed of Flamingo by four goals to nil. Travis Hackette scored his team’s first two goals in the 8th and 14th minute and gained support from Pernel Shultz and Marco Marcus in the 50th and 75th minute respectively.
