(De Ware Tijd) PARAMARIBO – President Desi Bouterse’s statement in his annual address yesterday that something must be done about the debt ceiling because it frustrates the plans he wants to carry out, did not go down well with the New Front (NF). “It is just because of unrestrained borrowing by a NDP-government that the New Front was forced to take measures in this regard such as setting up a bureau for the national debt. We will ask more information about this,” Deputy Parliament Speaker Ruth Wijdenbosch (NF/NPS) says about her faction’s concern to DWT.
