Pastor Daniel Subramani has regained consciousness and had been moved from the Intensive Care Unit to another ward at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was severely beaten almost a month ago.
The 36-year-old man who was unconscious for more than two weeks recently started to show some improvement and according to his wife, Praneila, is slowly beginning to respond.
“He is coming around slowly and he understands what you are saying… if you ask him something he would shake his head but he’s not talking at all,” the woman explained.
Daniel was severely beaten by two armed bandits when they invaded his Lot 15 Helena No. 2 Mahaica, East Coast Demerara home on September 6, escaping with cash and some gold jewellery.
