The Guyana Business Coali-tion on HIV/AIDS (GBCHA) has expressed its delight once again to support the National AIDS Pro-gramme Secretariat’s (NAPS) Fifth Annual National Week of Testing which will be observed from today until Friday.
Testing services will be available at private sector companies and other strategic locations countrywide, including NAPS, a press release from GBCHA said.
The GBCHA’s testing site at its office which is located at 108 Orange Walk, Bourda, will also be open from 8:00 AM daily.
Meanwhile, twenty members of the GBCHA will be hosting temporary testing sites at their workplaces for employees and persons visiting the site.
“This continued increased participation speaks to the commitment and enthusiasm of the private sector in assisting in the national response to HIV/AIDS in Guyana,” said David Bhola, GBCHA Chairperson.
He said further that over 3,000 persons were tested at the 17 member organizations of the GBCHA which took part in the National Week of Testing last year, and the numbers are expected to be higher this year with the increased number of companies participating.
In keeping with the theme for this year’s testing week activities, “Confidential and Reliable, Get Tested Now”, the Coalition is offering confidential and reliable service in a comfortable setting. For more information, persons may call GBCHA on 225-0972 or NAPS on 223-7138, the release added.
