HAMILTON, Bermuda, CMC – Bermuda coach Devarr Boyles was over the moon while his opposite number, German Otto Pfister said there was no need to “press the panic button just yet” after the home side stunned regional powerhouses Trinidad and Tobago on Friday night to keep their World Cup qualification hopes alive.
Bermuda scored early in the second half through Antwan Russell and Nahki Wells before Kevin Molino pulled a goal back in the last 10 minutes.
The hosts now face CONCACAF Group B leaders Guyana – 2-0 winners over Barbados on Friday night – here on Tuesday night knowing they need another victory after losing to Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Warriors and Guyana on the road last month.
