Kiran Mattai admitted to the Bar: Kiran Mattai, 22, presented by Senior Counsel Ralph Ramkarran, was admitted to the Bar at the High Court yesterday afternoon. She received her LLB at the University of Guyana Law Department and her Legal Education Certificate at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago. In her appreciation speech, she stated, “I strive to undertake the duties and responsibilities as an Officer of the Court, I recognise the values of our profession, and I’m passionate to be the definition of service not only to the court, but to the citizens whose rights and protection of such are vested within our scope of duty in upholding the law.” Mattai also extended gratitude to God, her family, teachers and friends.
