Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry ordered a security officer to keep the peace and granted him bail when he appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court charged with displaying abusive behaviour.
It is alleged that on Wednesday October 5 around 10.30 pm Compton Dass started to play music loudly at his Campbellville home disturbing Bernadette Sarjoo. When Sarjoo asked him to lower the volume of his music Dass allegedly abused her.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted self-bail. He was ordered to appear in Court 6 yesterday.
