(Trinidad Express) The Bocas Lit Fest hosts a Martin Carter evening this evening to honour the late, great Guyanese poet.
At 6.30 p.m. at Alice Yard, 80 Robert Street, Woodbrook, writers and admirers will join in a commemoration of Carter’s enormous literary achievements. The Bocas Lit Fest Martin Carter evening is part of the current three-day “I Dream to Change the World West Indian Literature Conference” taking place at the University of the West Indies in St Augustine. Both events are open to the public.
The Bocas Lit Fest, Trinidad and Tobago’s annual literary festival, inaugurated in April of this year, will take place 26-29 April 2012. The 2012 OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature will be presented during the Festival.
