The relocation of patients of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) to the institution’s new in-patient facility has been scheduled for tomorrow, commencing with the patients of the Female Medical Ward.
According to a press release from the hospital’s Public Relations Office, management of the GPHC wants the general public to know that relatives will not be permitted to take any food or drinks into the ward. Moreover, there will be strict adherence to the rule allowing two-relatives to visit a patient at any one time.
The release said also that children under the age of 12 will not be permitted on the wards.
Meanwhile, effective from Monday the visiting hours for all non-specialised or open wards, including the new in-patient facility, will be as follows: Monday to Friday: 6:00h – 6:30h; 12:00h -12:30h; 16:00h – 17:00h; and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays 11:00h – 17:00h.
