Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry granted a 36-year-old mason self bail when he yesterday appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court to answer to the charge of unlawful wounding.
Thalmus Barker pleaded not guilty to the charge which states that on October 18 at Roxanne Burnham Gardens, he unlawfully wounded Moses Walters.
The court was told that the virtual complainant and the defendant live in the same house and on the day in question there was a misunderstanding that led to a scuffle. Barker allegedly had a cutlass in his possession and Walters was allegedly injured when he tried to take the tool from the defendant.
