The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 2345h. last night on the Goed Fortuin Public Road, WBD, and which resulted in the death of motorist Phillip Smith, 22 years of Parfait Harmonie, WBD.
Police say it is alleged that Smith drove motor car PGG 60 out of a side street and on to the main road into the path of motor car PHH 6692 that was being driven by Guy Romain, 27 years of Samaroo Dam, Pouderoyen, WBD, resulting in a collision.
Smith, Romain and two other persons who were in Romain’s vehicle suffered injuries and were taken to the WDRH where Smith later succumbed to his injuries. The others are receiving medical attention.
Investigations are in progress.
