A 35-year-old man accused of using threatening and abusive language to his mother was placed on $25,000 bail after he pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
The court was told that Keen Douglas of 88 McDougal Street, Kitty is the son of Lucille Pitt Calder and they live together. On October 25 she spoke to him about his behaviour towards her and he became annoyed and allegedly abused her.
Magistrate Sueanna Lovell placed the man on a bond to keep the peace and ordered him to return to court on October 31.
