Dear Editor,
I am a resident living on the West Demerara and work in Georgetown. I would like to voice my concern about the closure of the Demerara Harbour Bridge at 5:30hrs in the morning. Whenever there is 5:30 closure it causes chaos and confusion for commuters who have to get to work at a certain time.
I suggest that the management of the DHB should review the situation and instead of closing at 5:30, shift the time to 5 o’clock, so there will be enough time for the opening to vehicular traffic.
Given the number of people living on the West Demerara with the many new housing schemes, I think someone in authority should review this issue and spare commuters the frustration it causes when there is 5.30 closure in the morning.
