Sean Wilson was yesterday sentenced to six months imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to break and enter and larceny.
Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry imposed the sentence after Wilson pleaded guilty to the charge, after it was read to him at the Georgetown Magistrates’ court.
According to the particulars of the charge, between November 1 and November 2, at Sandy Babb Street, Kitty, Wilson broke and entered the dwelling place of Shondell Wilson and stole a quantity of food stuff, valued an excess of $14,000. Lionel Harvey, the prosecutor, told the court that Wilson is a businesswoman and operated a shop at the Sandy Babb Street. On November 21, at about 9pm, Wilson secured her shop by the means provided.
However, at around 2:30am, the next day, she was awakened by someone who told her that the shop was opened. The woman made checks and discovered the articles in the charge missing, after which she reported the matter at the police station.
