Dear Editor,
Within the borders of this country there is more talent than is recognized, but there are fewer opportunities than most other countries where talent is not a challenge to those in authority but expertise to be nurtured for the goal of all.
The GT&T Jingle search is a welcome and a much applauded development. However, I need to make a public appeal.
Last Saturday I watched a replay of the Prisoners in Concert, and I was impressed to the point where I would like to recommend, if I am not been too presumptuous, that a segment of this GT&T competition be constructed to accommodate those specific inmates who I am convinced have the relevant talent and need doors to be opened to point in a different direction, but most of all because of the need to retain gifted citizens and cease the torrent of wasted talent.
Yours faithfully,
Barrington Braithwaite
