Former PNC Agriculture Minister, Dr. Simpson DaSilva has endorsed the Alliance For Change, stating that he is convinced that under this party, there will be food and nutrition security for all Guyanese.
“I’ve decided that the AFC is the right choice for me at this time… I feel this is the right turn for Guyana and more particularly the right turn for food and nutrition security,” he noted as he was introduced by AFC Leader Raphael Trotman at a press conference yesterday.
DaSilva stated that household food and nutrition security is the basic need for economic, social and human development and as such strong inter-ministerial collaboration is needed with several ministries as well as active participation from all non-governmental organizations and the private sector.
This, he said, will help in achieving sustainable household food and nutrition security for all Guyanese.
