The National Association of Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Employees (NAACIE) remembers Richard Verbeke MS, as a dedicated worker as it mourns his passing.
In a press release, NAACIE said Verbeke died at the Georgetown hospital on Sunday after a brief illness.
He served as an Office Assistant at NAACIE and was a staunch trade unionist most of his life. Verbeke was given an award for his long service to the Trade Union Movement in 2006. President Bharrat Jagdeo had also bestowed the Medal of Service award on him about three weeks ago.
Verbeke will be missed by his colleagues at NAACIE as well as by employers and functionaries in the public and private sectors, ministries and other organisations.
