After much uncertainty, organisers have finally declared that the Miss India Guyana Pageant will be hosted at the Princess Hotel on November 19, and it is to be judged by Miss Femina India 2004 and Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta, filmmaker Poonam Jhawer and President of the All India Congress Committee based in India Saleh Gul Khan.
Nine contestants are scheduled to take to the stage and prove why they should be selected to represent Guyana at the international pageant in Suriname on February 25. They are: Hashana Komal, Tahirih Boodhoo, Katherina Roshana, Diana Hussain, Varsha Arjune, Umadevi Buxt, Arti Deodat, Alana Seebarran and Sandiya Samaroo.
