Two men and two women have been arrested by the police after the discovery of some 10 kilogrammes of cocaine in a car at Moleson Creek.
According to a police release, at about 10.30 am yesterday, police officers stopped motor car PMM 9535 at Moleson Creek, Corentyne.
The driver of the vehicle, who was the only occupant, managed to drive away but police pursued the vehicle which crashed at Line Path, Skeldon. The driver escaped.
The car was taken to the Springlands Police Station, where a search revealed some 10 kgs of cocaine.
According to reports, the four persons arrested were in the car with the driver earlier. Investigations are ongoing.
