The Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) has added 15 new computers to its assets which will improve the services it provides to the public.
In a press release, the GPOC said the computers have been distributed to offices in its network in all three counties and as such customers can expect to see an increase in efficiency when processing money order transactions. New systems have been installed at the Cane Grove, East La Penitence, Bourda, Kwakwani, Leonora, McKenzie, Parika and Whim post offices. New computers will also be installed at the Bartica and Reliance post officers before year-end.
The GPOC said a decision was taken to boost its technology at a Strategic Management Meeting held earlier in the year. The project was implemented in October. The Corporation remains committed to providing efficient services and will embrace new technologies that will enable it to fulfil its mandate.
