Gavin Lewis, Jeremy Miller and Andre Lopes hardly broke a sweat to defeat their opponents on Monday night when play continued in the Pegasus Open tennis tournament.
Lewis, Miller and Lopes defeated Ronald Murray (6-1, 6-1), Sandeep Chand (6-0, 6-2) and Albert Madramootoo (6-2, 6-0) in straight sets respectively. Carlos Adams also had a decisive win over Steve David Lounge, defeating him 6-1, 6-1 while Phillip Squires won by a walkover from Nicholas Fenty.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Adams, Rudy Grant and Lopes also posted easy wins over Longe, Mario Niamatali and Madramootoo respectively in the Men’s 35 Singles category.
Adams was in good form as he effectively kept Longe out of the game with his ground strokes and volleys. Lopes was similarly dominant against Madramootoo.
Grant also had an easy win over Berbician Niamatali.
In Mixed Doubles Krystal Sukra and Phillip Squires defeated the pair of Berbicians Carol Humphrey and Anthony Ameerally 6-3 6-4. Also in the Men’s Doubles Jeremy Miller and Jason Andrews started their campaign with a 6-4, 6-2 win against brothers Saevion/Seanden David-Longe.
