Dear Editor,
As someone involved in sports administration, but more so as an attendee over the years at the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club race meetings held at the South Dakota circuit, I would like to point out how impressed I was at a feature of the meeting held on Sunday November 14.
As a patron this year of the Rent-a-Tent VIP Pavilion, I can say I was awestruck by the professionalism, resourcefulness and proficiency of the Directors Ray and Angela Rahaman and the staff of that company that created an atmosphere that was comparable or superior to any accommodation at sporting venues across the globe. If I begin with the parking, I encountered a most polite attendant who was quite helpful in finding an available parking space and who ensured the safety of the vehicle for the entire duration, allowing for complete peace of mind. The washroom facilities which have always been a concern to me at public venues were the ultimate in luxury with air conditioning, marble interior with oak trim and wood flooring, which was always kept spic and span with an attendant constantly cleaning it.
But it was the venue’s proper service there that was over the top. Patrons were given a healthy, tasty Guyanese breakfast, while for lunch the ingredients were fresh, the flavours were spectacular and then for the rest of the afternoon attendees were able to snack on a variety of sweet treats and other savoury bites. There was the widest variety of drinks to keep everyone watered for the entire day. To add to that, there was great music all day long and live dance routines by cheerleading dancers.
Undoubtedly, Rent-A-Tent is the best event specialist in Guyana, and must be applauded for a job well done.
Yours faithfully,
Waynewright Orderson
