A Canadian man was yesterday found at the airport with cocaine in his luggage and has been admitted under guard at the hospital on the suspicion that he has ingested cocaine pellets.
Police said in a press release yesterday that ranks of the police Narcotics Branch arrested the Canadian citizen, who was an outgoing passenger at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timerhi, after a total of 903 grams of cocaine in pellets were found in his baggage.
It is suspected that he may have ingested a quantity of the pellets and is under guard at the Georgetown Hospital, the release said.
