A car slammed into a resident of Wayakabra, off the Soesdyke/Linden Highway, on Monday night.
Godfrey Daniels, 43, was rushed to the Diamond Hospital before being transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) where he was treated for head and other injuries. He was treated and later sent away.
The accident occurred at around 5:15 on Monday afternoon. “I was walking to the road and all I hear is a car mek bladdam and I hear people hollering.
When I run up then, I see is my brother,” said brother of the victim Rawle Harry. According to Harry, Daniels is a sawmill worker.
This newspaper was at the hospital when Daniels was brought in an ambulance with his head heavily bandaged. A nurse accompanied him in the ambulance and brought with her results of his X-rays done at the Diamond Hospital.
