The 22nd Kashif and Shanghai tournament on Thursday received further support from the government ahead of the annual local football tournament scheduled to commence on December 10.
Prime Minister, Samuel Hinds, presented the third place trophy along with a cash donation of $500,000 to the organisers at a simple handing over ceremony at his office at Wight’s Lane.
The Prime Minister highlighted the government’s continued delight at being associated with the tournament and vowed to keep it going as long they remained in office.
Co-Director of the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major, thanked the Prime Minister for his gesture.
