British High Commissioner to Guyana Andrew Ayre is among the observer teams in Linden and according to him things are going pretty smoothly.
He has since observed voting at several polling stations at Mackenzie and is pleased with both the voter turnout and the professionalism of the workers. He said that he spoke with a number of persons none of whom had any issues.
The general environment in Linden is also commendable as it relates to the stipulations relating to the distance of activities around the polling stations. The High Commissioner will be visiting a few other stations in Linden before departing for similar activities on the West Bank of Demerara.
