Everall Franklin, the leader of the Guyana Action Party (GAP) and Member of Parliament died yesterday morning at a city hospital following a period of illness.
Persons within A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) of which GAP is a part and close friends confirmed that he died around 6 am.
Stabroek News was told that he suffered a stroke some time back.
