The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT&T) is offering significant reductions in outbound international rates to all destinations, effective from December 1.
In a Public Advisory published in this newspaper, GT&T said the Public Utilities Commission has approved this promotion, which will run until March 31, 2012.
Both wire line and mobile subscribers who make calls will automatically benefit from the reduced rates. However, wire line customers can enjoy even deeper discounts to specific international destinations by subscribing to any of seven plans the company has on offer, for a fee of $1,000 per month.
Customers can access special discounts by subscribing to Plan 4 which caters for calls to all 50 US states – including Alaska and Hawaii and Canada; Plan 5, which is for calls to the Caribbean and Suriname or choose from five other offers.
Alternatively, depending on their international calling pattern, land line customers can subscribe to any two plans for a fee of $1,750 per month or any three plans at the cost of $2,250 per month. Further, they can also enjoy discounted promotional rates to all international destinations for a monthly fee of $2,500.
In addition, wire line customers who have subscribed to any or all of the offers in Plans 1 – 3 are advised that these promotions end on December 31. Thereafter, their choices will be limited to plans 4 to 10.
