Following a meeting held in the Committee Room of Parliament Buildings yesterday afternoon, three Presidential Candidates who contested Monday’s elections issued a joint statement in which they agreed to further meetings on issues of interest to the people of Guyana.
“Presidential candidates of the 2011 General and Regional Elections, Mr. Donald Ramotar of the People’s Progressive Party Civic, Mr. David Granger of A Partnership for National Unity and Mr. Khemraj Ramjattan of the Alliance For Change and their representatives met in the Committee Room of the National Assembly this evening following the announcement of the results of the elections,” the joint statement said.
“The Presidential Candidates agreed that there will be follow-up meetings directly and through their representatives,” the statement concluded.
