The Banks DIH five kilometers road race which was scheduled for December 11th will be postponed to the new year for a date yet to be announced.
According to a press release from the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) the meet was postponed due to the post-elections drama which Banks DIH officials believe is not conducive for the staging of the event.
The event was set to attract the likes of distance king Cleveland Forde, police athlete Dennis Horatio, Cleveland Thomas, junior athlete Nathaniel Giddings female distance runner Alika Morgan and sprint queen Alisha Fortune, who has been making a name for herself in the veteran category.
