Dear Editor,
A lack of an overall government majority in Parliament, is the best thing that could have happened, as it forces otherwise myopic tribal politicians, to work together, and results in a more ethnically representative and informed reality.
It is especially heartening that the AFC holds the balance of power; while their policies are nebulous, they are the only parliamentary grouping representing the broad demographic in Guyana. It bodes well for the future, that they attracted increased multi-racial support in these elections.
