The Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) yesterday completed an outright over Everest Cricket Club in their Noble House Seafoods second division cricket competition yesterday at Camp Road.
GNIC won toss on Saturday and batted racking up 257-9 declared.
Collis Butts was the top scorer with a fine innings of 78 which included eight fours.
Opener Premchand Sookdeo struck five fours in making 53 while number nine batsman Rawle Murrell blasted four sixes and three fours in scoring an unbeaten 50.
Off spinner Riad Sattaur was the pick of the bowlers with 5-73 from 18 overs while Dayanand Roopnarine chipped in with 2-66 from 18.4 overs.
Everest in reply closed their first innings at 106-9 as one player failed to show up.
Roopnarine was the top scorer with 49 which included a six and five fours while Rishi Heeralall struck three fours and one six in making 25.
Latchman Bissessar bagged 6-28 from 10 overs while O. Fraser supported with 3-19 from 4.4 overs.
GNIC duly declared their second innings at 51-6 with J. George, 18, Sookdeo, 15 and M. Munroe 11, the principal scorers.
Roopnarine and S. Khan were the wicket takers with 2-13 and 2-23 respectively.
GNIC were led to victory by consistent bowling from Clyde Butts, Bissessar, Murrell and Desmond Butts who each grabbed two wickets to dismiss Everest CC for 106 to complete their 103 run triumph.
Clyde Butts bagged two wickets for two runs from two overs while Murrell picked up 2-11 from four overs, Bissessar 2-23 from 5.5 overs and Desmond Butts 2-29 from seven overs.
Denesh Mangal was Everest top scorer with 32 which included two fours and one six while Sattaur chipped in with 30 which included four fours. The two put on 51 runs for the sixth wicket which was the highest of the innings.
