An 18-year-old man was yesterday charged with the murder of Lower Kara Kara, Linden man Alistair Crighton, when he appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard that on November 29, at Kokerite Landing, Barima River, Morris Fredericks allegedly murdered 33-year-old Crighton, who was also known as ‘Sailor’. Fredericks was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was remanded.
The prosecution did not present its case when the matter was called. Instead, the case was transferred to the Aquero Magistrates’ Court where it will be called again on January 10, 2012.
