The second annual West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Regional Under-17 tournament that was scheduled to bowl of in Trinidad from December 10-20 has been postponed due heavy rainy conditions in Trinidad.
This is the second regional tournament to be pulled from the twin-island republic in the last few days for non-cricketing reasons, following the group stage Caribbean Twenty20 from the country due to high rental cost of the Queens Park Oval.
Under-17 coach Gavin Nedd who has been in camp with the squad since December told Stabroek Sport that he received notification of the postponement on Monday from Guyana Cricket Board officials.
According to reports, the competition may be rescheduled for Trinidad after the conclusion of the Caribbean Twenty20.
