(Barbados Nation) Barbados and Venezuela are in the early stages of discussion to introduce a free health care programme for Barbadians who suffer from eye and heart problems.
The programme, Miracle Mission, would cater to children under 14 with specific heart conditions and anyone with eye problems.
Venezuela’s Ambassador to Barbados Jose Gonzales Febres, in a recent interview conducted through an interpreter, told the DAILY NATION that this anticipated programme followed “a small conversation” with the Ministry of Health.
“They said they are very interested; so we are trying to take care of the details, and once we fine-tune those details it should start up,” he said.
