The Bank of Baroda (Guyana) plans to expand its operations here with the establishment of a branch at Mon Repos on the East Coast of Demerara.
According to the Government Information Agency, this was explained to President Donald Ramotar when officials met him for a courtesy visit on Monday at the Office of the President.
GINA said that Chief Executive, Dhimant Trivedi, Managing Director Kumar Kala and Chief Executive of the Offshore Banking Unit Mukesh Wason who comprised the visiting delegation also spoke with the President on ways in which the bank can help in Guyana’s economic development.
The Bank of Baroda has been in operation since Guyana gained independence in 1966.
Its current location is Avenue of the Republic, Georgetown.
