The Georgetown Cricket Association named the Georgetown squad to play their Berbice Under-21 counterparts in the first match of the Basil Butcher Under-21 tribute double header today at the Cumberland Ground, Canje, Berbice.
The Special Events Committee (SEC) of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB), as part of its age group cricket development programme, has arranged two Under-21 matches between Cellink Berbice and Georgetown.
Game two will be played at the Demerara Cricket Club Ground on December 28.
Meanwhile, as part of the development of fast bowlers, the teams have agreed that sixteen of the stipulated 40 overs per side will be bowled by the pacers.
Demerara squad: Amir Khan (Captain), Kwame Crosse (V/Capt), Quincy Ovid-Richardson, Shameer Fazil, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Chanderpaul Hemraj, Jahron Byron, Winston Forrester, Clevon Hyman, Raj Nanan, Christopher Surat, Seon Daniels, Kevin Ogle, and Jeetendra Sookdeo.
Berbice squad: Anthony Bramble (captain), Shawn Perriera (V/Capt), Eon Hooper, Kandasammy Surujnarine, Seon Hetymyer, Jonathan Foo, Dominic Rikhi, Joemal LaFleur, Clinton Pestano, Loyydel Lewis, Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai, Shawn Perriera, Keon Joseph, Keon DeJesus and Kevin Ramdeen.
